To Family and Friends of Nonviolence Training participants:

Our Nonviolence Training program is specifically designed with the intent and purpose of ending violence. We attempt to address all levels of violence including verbal abuse, emotional abuse, sexual abuse, and physical abuse. Our goal is to end behavior intended for the abuser to attempt to have power and control over another person.

Our experience has shown that at times abusers have taken information presented in our program, twisted it's meaning, and subsequently attempted to use the information as a manipulation tactic. The purpose for my writing this short note is to assure you that if something one of my clients brings home doesn't quite sound right, they have probably done what I have just described.

My first priority in this program is your welfare and safety. In this regard, please take this short note as an invitation to contact me in any event that you have a question about anything that was said, taught, or talked about in one of our groups. Any conversation that I have with you will be held in the strictest confidence and I will not tell my client that I even spoke with you unless you specifically request that I do so.
